To no ones surprise Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting delayed. This shouldn't come as a big shock to anyone as Rockstar, the developer making Red Dead Redemption 2 has ended up delaying pretty much every game they've released within the last decade or so.
According to an announcement on the official website (where you can also see some new screenshots of the game) Red Dead Redemption 2 "...will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.
We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer."
According to the Rockstar Games Twitter account it isn't just some vague time next year when Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming out. It's some vague time in Spring 2018. Of course that's as long as the game doesn't get another delay, which could very well happen. Then again, would you rather have Red Dead Redemption 2 delayed again and again, or get another Assassin's Creed fiasco?
