PSX 2017 Rundown

PlayStation’s big community event will be in the Anaheim Convention Center December 9th and 10th, however there will be an exclusive presentation on December 8th for anyone with an Early Bird ticket. The Friday kickoff event will start off with an update by PlayStation Worldwide Studios Chairman, Shawn Layden. After that you can expect a bunch of surprises and updates to various upcoming PlayStation games. If you’re looking for hype, it’s pretty much what Friday will be all about when it starts at 8:00pm Pacific time.

On Saturday the doors will open at 10:00, and it looks to be a lot bigger than last years event. PlayStation even expanded the show floor space by 50% for all of the extra things they are throwing in. They have confirmed that Sucker Punch Productions and Media Molecule will appear, and that they will unveil more about Ghost of Tsushima and Dreams. There will also be more competition areas, and plenty more merch to buy that is unavailable online.

They didn’t get into a lot of other specifics, but hinted at showing more hands on gameplay this year, and over the weeks leading up to the event giving out information on the Capcom Cup, and other activities available to attendees.

The PlayStation blog will likely be where they reveal more information about the event, but it will definitely showcase some of the best they have to offer when PSX 2017 arrives. What are your thoughts though? Do you think it will be a good event this year, or will it not really add much more information on top of what we’ve already been given since it is so close to Paris Games Week? Let me knmow what you think on Twitter by tagging @spencerhavens.
