Backwards compatibility for original Xbox games was expected to come out sometime, but Microsoft surprised many fans by releasing the first batch later today. We had already known about two games that we're going to be included, but now we know the full list of thirteen games that'll be backwards compatible.
Not only are they releasing Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, but the massively popular rpg Star Wars: Knight's of the Old Republic is also in the first wave of backwards compatible original Xbox titles. Fans of these old games will get a new chance to play them again with higher framerates, faster load times, and supposedly support for 1080p. All of this is discussed by Bill Stillwell, who runs the Backwards Comparability Program, on Xbox Wire.
Just like with backwards compatible Xbox 360 games, you can get them on your Xbox One by putting in your old game disc. If you never had the game, but are interested in playing it, they're all available for purchase and download on the Microsoft store. As for what exact games there are, the full list being released is below.
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
Dead to Rights
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
The King of Fighters Neowave
Ninja Gaiden Black
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Red Faction II
Sid Meier's Pirates
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
