Disney Afternoon Throwback Comes With Free Nostalgia

Remember the Disney Afternoon from your childhood? Remember coming home after school and having a slice of fun and entertaining cartoons available to watch? What about the games made about those cartoons for the NES? Remember all of those challenging titles? Well, they're finally coming back with them all together in a collection.

This week Capcom is dropping a title on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. They've bundled together six classic NES games from the hayday of DIsney afternoon television. However, this isn't just a simple repackaging of old Disney video games. They've added a few features to give the games a bit more than they had when they were released.

With the Disney Afternoon Collection Capcom has added four new features, Boss Rush, Time Attack, Rewind, and an in game Museum too. The Rewind feature lets you hold a button and rewind the game to before you made a mistake. A lot of the jumps and enemies can be very unforgiving, and players will really appreciate this ability as they play through. Time Attack lets you race against the clock to complete levels, and compare your score to an online leaderboard. With it being competitive their is no use of the Rewind feature in this mode. Boss Rush lets you test your reflexes by jumping right into game's boss battles. This mode also has an online leaderboard so no Rewind here either. Finally the Museum mode. Well, Capcom did some digging and found plenty of concept art, sketches, music, and more from when the games were being made back in the 80s and 90s. All stuff from the original creation of these games in one place if you really want a full hit of nostalgia.

Capcom's Disney Afternoon Collection is coming out today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It comes with all six games, DuckTales, Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales 2, and Rescue Rangers 2. Let me know if you remember playing these games as a kid, or even if you just remember watching these shows growing up. I'd love to hear your stories about them.
