Batman VR was a PlayStation exclusive for quite a while, but now after six months, it's coming to other platforms. Batman has been very popular for a while, and the chance to play as Batman in a VR environment is very tempting to a lot of people. Batman VR was even one of the PS store's most downloaded games of 2016.
Creative director at Rocksteady Sefton Hill said, "Bringing Batman to VR was a very rewarding experience for us. The Dark Knight has always been an incredible character to work with due to his psychological depth, so it's really exciting to use this immersive medium to delve deeper into his psyche than ever before. We're thrilled that PC players can finally wear the cowl for themselves an take on the role of the world's greatest detective with the addition of the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift versions."
That's right, both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift will be getting a version of the popular Batman game. It will even be compatible with the Oculus Touch and Vive controllers. Of course standard PC controllers will work as well, such as the Xbox One controller and Steam controller.
To celebrate Batman spreading onto more VR platforms, Rocksteady released a new trailer that is embedded below. April 25th is the day that Batman VR will be available on the other systems. Do you think it's a little late for Batman VR to be jumping to new systems, or will people just be excited about playing it on PC? Let me know your thoughts on this.
