Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has been announced as releasing to devices sometime in the future. Then they set a firm worldwide release date for November 22. However, it looks like they may not have been patient enough for that.
According to Nintendo of America's Twitter, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be releasing to iOS and Android tomorrow. Well, the only issue with that is if you go on to the app store now you'll find the Animal Crossing app and are able to download it and play it. Although Apple users are reporting that the server for their game seems to be offline.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp arrives just in time for anyone looking to unwind from all the stress with loot boxes. Hope into the game and go down to the virtual campsite to fish and see some animal friends. Just be warned as there are microtransactions to speed up things and buy premium currency for this free-to-play mobile game. However, it has so far all been for aesthetics.
With all this drama coming surrounding games I'm glad that the big one here is that the game came out a day early. In fact, to unwind from all the stress surrounding intrusive microtransactions in full priced games and the attacks on net neutrality returning in the US, I'll probably be spending a good deal of time relaxing in the virtual campsite.
