Square Enix just announced that they are publishing an officially licensed supercross game being made by developer Milestone. This announcement came the day before Monster Energy Cup 2017. The game is called, Monster Energy Supercross.
The game will feature real tracks, bikes, and athletes from the 2017 FIM World Championship, and Monster Energy AMA Supercross seasons. Riders will be divided between the 250SX and 450 SX classes, and will include famous riders like Chad Reed, Ken Roczen, and champion Ryan Dungey. The game will be pushing for realism in look and feel of the riders and bikes. It will even use a new 3D scanning system to render extra details for the faces of riders.
On top of famous riders, this game offers a few features a lot of players really want in games like this. All of them center around on thing, customization. In career mode there is deep customization available for the rider, and the bike can be altered in countless ways. However, probably most importantly, there is a track editor. Players will be able to create their own tracks within the game, and then share them with other players.
Monster Energy Supercross is definitely a racing game through and through. However, if you enjoy off-road racing games, than this is definitely one to watch as it looks like it'll be one of the better ones. It is scheduled to release on February 13, 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and will release on the Switch a little later.
